JOB SUMMARY
Our client is moving to an Okta IAM solution. There a currently legacy applications that use a variety of mechanism for authentication and authorization. There are also APIs that must be managed and maintained to facilitate communications between Okta and applications/systems. There are new applications being developed, and there will continue to be a combination of on premises applications and cloud applications as the client moves more to the cloud. We are looking for a systems engineer that has worked extensively in an linux environment that will provide support for the API Gateway especially with regards to interfaces between the Okta IDaaS and applications and systems. Understand how security impacts the APIs and be prepared to support a future zero trust architecture state.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The candidate duties will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Provide support for the API Gateway especially with regards to interfaces between the Okta IDaaS and applications and systems.
- Understanding of how security impacts the APIs and be prepared to support a future zero trust architecture state.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Strong Linux administration experience
- Knowledge of scripting and systems administration in a Linux environment; Shell & PowerShell scripting language experience, automation experience
- Logs and simple queries experience
- Technical Identity and Access Management (IAM) and policy-driven Identity, Credentials, and Access Management (ICAM) experience as applied to enterprise systems.
- SAML and OIDC experience; OAUTH Authentication configuration experience
- Security and creating security policies experience
- API experience
- System administration experience (including Windows, Tomcat)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps
- Experience with SIEM and Logs management tools (Splunk, QRadar, Okta reporting…), ability to execute queries to retrieve logs and analyze them for issues resolution
- Strong understanding of development and implementation practices including integration testing, deployment automation, and pipeline development
- Understanding of OAuth, Java, F5, build pipelines, AD, Okta, and automating testing are beneficial
- Excellent communications, presentation, and documentation skills
- Ability to work within the team and independently on tasks. Attention to detail
It is desirable that the candidate has the following qualifications:
- API Gateway Integration with Okta IDaas
- Understanding of OAuth, Java, F5, build pipelines, AD, Okta, automating testing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
