General Summary
The position is designed to provide a range of support for the business relations consultants and Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) district staff in qualifying job-ready candidates with employer partners on a state-wide basis. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on barriers to employment faced by individuals with disabilities and performs other tasks related to the placement of those individuals in employment opportunities, including job development services. Travel required as needed with hybrid work option.
Education
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Counseling, Social Work, Allied Health, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
Requirements and Skills
· Promote and provide talent sourcing support for the Business Network division within the Department of Labor and Economic Development/Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS).
· Familiar with recruiting strategies, including sourcing, screening and interviewing methods:
o Provide review of employment readiness, knowledge, skills and abilities.
o Prepare customers for work through resume development and review of soft skills.
o Experience using professional social networks (LinkedIn, in particular).
· Liaison between business relations consultants (BRCs) and MRS District Office staff.
· Identify levels of support that may be required by customers to engage in job interviewing and job search, as well as track supports provided.
· Manage customer relations management (CRM) database as well as providing documentation of services provided with outcome for customers served.
· Prepare documentation and correspondence in business language.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Detail-oriented with ability to keep accurate and comprehensive records.
· Computer literacy to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Systems.
· Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills.
· Team-oriented.
