We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our HHS client.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce a wide range of visual communications, illustrations, unique designs, and layouts from conception to production to communicate the graphical requirement of the project(s)
- Manage official publication and graphic design, handling content layout, formatting, updating existing content, etc.
- Utilize a content management system (CMS) to post articles and various multimedia content to intranet and public-facing sites.
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by all skill levels.
- Provide ongoing project status updates in writing and during meetings with stakeholders.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to organize, coordinate and support communication events, initiatives, and programs.
- Create 508 compliant files for web posting.
- Identify, research, and write stories with input from various sources and stakeholders.
- Ensure timelines and delivery expectations are met.
- Develop and design content for social media campaigns that leverage GIFs, videos, and animations.
- Collaborate closely with SMEs and content providers to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms to the right audiences through the proper channels to ensure compliance and maintain communication style guide, brand, and other identified elements for the Department.
Experience - Required:
- 5+ years' professional experience in content creation both in illustration and written format
- 5+ years' professional experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, plus demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite
- 3+ years professional experience in client delivery within the federal, healthcare, or cybersecurity sectors - (Nice to Have)
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Proven experience with creating on-brand products and deliverables that adhere to customer branding and style guidelines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Training & Certifications - Nice to have:
- Adobe Suite (including InDesign) professional training or certification
Education - Required:
- Bachelor's degree in communication, graphic design, art, or related field
