Micrologic is seeking a qualified Technical Writer to add to our team of dedicated, trusted, experienced & professional personnel. The Technical Writer will be an integral part of the Technical Training Team, developing both client facing and internal training materials.

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Ability to take existing and potential content and improve it
• Convert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences
• Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials

Skills & Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Communications or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years’ experience in developing technical writing material
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, Google platforms, and cloud based tools
• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent written skills in English (Ability to transcribe into Spanish is a plus)
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development

Compensation:

• Salary is commensurate with experience.
• Benefits are available after 90 days of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
