Jump Start your career as a Tech Apprentice!

As a full-time Apprentice, you will earn while you learn. You will learn the fundamentals of mainframe computing or network engineering and earn nationally recognized certifications. Apprentices join as full-time members of the Tech team, with dedicated time to complete a rigorous training program. After completing the Franklin/IBM training within the first year, you will continue in a second year of on-the-job training. Then, you will progress into applicable full-time roles within the tech team.

We are recruiting for our fourth cohort of tech apprentices with our local company partner in Buffalo, NY to enter the IBM Z and Network Engineering occupations.

The program provides:

● A free online pre-apprenticeship program, which provides foundational knowledge

● Extensive on-the-job technical training

● Individual learning paths with defined competency standards

● Dedicated Success Coaches to help every step of the way

● Internal mentoring from subject matter experts within assigned teams and current apprentices

● Industry-recognized digital credentials and certification from the Department of Labor

The first step is to apply now for the free, online, self-directed Pre-Apprenticeship program. We will guide you through free training and coaching, to develop the skills needed to perform as an Application Developer or System Administrator on the IBM Z Mainframe, or as a Network Engineer.

Upon successful completion of your pre-apprenticeship training course (approximately 110 hours), you will have the opportunity to apply and interview for one of our Tech apprenticeship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
