Bay Rocket is Tampa Bay’s newest and most thrilling attraction and is one of only 5 jet boats in the entire United States. Bay Rocket operates on the weekends, select weekdays and during the holidays. The boat docks at the Tampa Convention Center at the Pirate Water Taxi home dock – Stop #7.

In addition to Bay Rocket, Pirate Water Taxi also operates Tampa Riverwalk Rentals which offers bicycle, kayak and paddle board rentals and the Lost Pearl pirate ship which offers pirate cruise adventures.

We are looking for an outgoing Sales Associate to sell tickets to the Bay Rocket experience. Employee will also be cross-trained to assist with ticket sales for all of our brands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and sell tickets for Bay Rocket and all other brands.
• Promote and educate customers about Bay Rocket and all other brands.
• Check-in guests.
• Help facilitate the departure and arrival of Bay Rocket.
• Work closely with the Bay Rocket captain and deckhand to ensure all guests are properly checked-in and boarded on the boat.
• Cross-training across all of our brands; Pirate Water Taxi, Tampa Riverwalk Rentals and Lost Pearl.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have an enthusiastic and outgoing personality. Sales Associates are the face of our brand and will spend their day meeting potential customers.
• Passion for sales and marketing.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Need to be able to stand for upwards of eight hours per day.
• This job requires being outside for entire shift. Must be okay with being in the heat or cold. Shade will be provided as part of ticket stand.
• Shifts will include weekends and special holiday events.

COMPENSATION

$15 per hour, plus commission on each ticket sold.
