Kentucky Trailer is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician / Diesel Mechanic. As a Trailer Technician / Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing trailers, with a focus on brakes, cams, slack adjusters, electrical systems, and other related components. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be familiar with ABS systems, DOT inspections, and regulations. This position would work out of our location at 10147 Calabash Avenue, Fontana, California 92335.

Day Shift

Expected Starting Pay Range: $23 - $29

Responsibilities:

• Work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.
• Keep work areas and equipment in compliance with all safety regulations.
• Be responsible for the organization and housekeeping of their assigned area.
• Conduct themselves according to the Company Policies including attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, vacation, PTO, cell phones, etc.
• Accurately fill out the proper information on a Job Slip at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years or more Trailer Technician / Diesel Mechanic experience
• Familiar with ABS Systems
• Ability to work on brakes, cams, slack adjusters, and electrical systems
• Experience with DOT Inspection and Regulations
• Ability to weld steel and aluminum
• Ability/experience in trailer body repairs; roof, side panel, flooring and frame repairs
• Use of hand and power tools as it relates to required tasks
• Basic Math & Measurement aptitude
• Problem-solving skills
• Previous diesel technician / mechanic experience
• Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously
• Criminal Background Check & Drug screen
• Diploma/GED
