ASAP offers Substance Abuse Profession (SAP), Substance Abuse Expert (SAE), and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) evaluation services to all employers with drug and alcohol policies. ASAP specializes in working with companies regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), state mandated, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies offering self-referral and second chance programs.

Opportunity:

The Training Coordinator position will assist the operations manager in developing processes and people supporting the Operations department. They are responsible for coordinating and conducting all training under the operations department Client Support Team. They will assist in designing and developing the training material. The Training Coordinator is also responsible for communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals.

Job Responsibilities:

· Help create an implementation plan for onboarding new ASAP employees.

· Onboard and train new colleagues on systems and processes.

· Assist with developing and maintaining training manuals and updating one notes.

· Develop ongoing training programs for the team.

· Track individual and team metrics and reports while in training.

· Develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with ASAP employees.

· Evaluating ASAP employees’ progress and adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.

· Critical thinking and problem solving to make sure training runs as smoothly as possible.

· Retain organization to manage several different training programs at once.

· Makes complex decisions for which there is no set procedure.

· Identifies importance of tasks and prioritizes time accordingly to ensure completion of all tasks within a specific timeframe.

· Map out annual training plans.

· Select appropriate training methods or activities.

· Use known educational principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.

· Design, prepare educational aids and materials with the help of the operations manager.

· Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.

· Gather feedback from managers and trainees after each educational session.

· Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.

· Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a Human Service-related field, preferred.

· Exceptional attention to detail.

· Pay attention to the communication of others.

· Thinks several steps ahead in deciding on best course of action, anticipating likely outcomes.

· Superior problem solving and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to manage a variety of assignments simultaneously.

· A high energy, business-oriented, customer focused individual who can thrive in a fast paced, rapidly evolving work environment.

· Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.

· Ability to work well with others, accept feedback positively, and works under pressure.

· Strong typing skills preferred.

· Strong communication skills.
