Job description

We are looking for a Transportation Specialist. Someone who enjoys working with people. Enjoys driving. Good driving record. Knowledgeable regarding vehicle maintenance. Willing to step in and help teammates. There are two possitions available. The hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Does this sound like you.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for safely transporting patients to and from appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Ensure facility vehicles are in proper repair at all times, communicating safety and other concerns timely and clearly to the appropriate staff.

· Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.

· Complete all transportation vehicle documents accurately and timely.

· Drive facility vehicle to pick up supplies and equipment as needed.

· Maintain safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· One or more years’ experience in a similar position required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

· Valid State Driver’s License required.

· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

First aid may be required based on state or facility.
