Wilcox Companies is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our team as a Traveling Phlebotomist on an as-needed basis. You must live in Nebraska to be considered for this position and be able to work as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws on patients in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, community centers, and health fairs. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care, and that all blood samples are collected and handled properly.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Travel to various locations (in Nebraska and neighboring states) to perform blood draws on patients as needed
• Educate patients on the blood draw process, including any necessary preparations and aftercare instructions
• Ensure that all blood samples are properly labeled and stored in accordance with regulations and protocols
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, including demographic data and test results
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements:

• 
  Must be located in Nebraska
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program
• Certification as a phlebotomy technician by a recognized accrediting agency
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical or laboratory setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and limited weekends
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
