Truck Driver and Warehouse Worker
Truck Driver and Warehouse Specialist - Cranston, Rhode Island

M Solomon Casket is a 113 year family owned and operated business based in Cranston, RI with 6 locations across the east coast. We provide a variety of products to funeral homes across the northeast region. We are built on the foundation of excellent customer service and reliability.

We are looking to hire a delivery driver/warehouse worker that makes a great impression with customers by having strong attention to detail and a customer-first attitude.

Driver Responsibilities

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Prep and loading for daily delivery
• Maintain professional appearance
• Track record of punctuality and dependability
• Knowledge of RI and MA area roads a must; CT roads & highways a plus

Warehouse Responsibilities

• Daily inventory organization in the warehouse
• Prep and load your own product
• Work independently to organize and maintain warehouse inventory when returning from driving daily
• Receiving, recording and organizing incoming inventory regularly
• Basic iPhone skills
• Experience with care & maintenance of wood and metal products a plus
• Ability to preform physical labor (lift, push and pull ~75 lbs and climbing in and out of the back of truck)

Requirements:

• Valid and clean drivers license (CDL not required)
• Current DOT Medical card required

Work Hours and Pay:

• 40 hour work week + 4 hours of overtime guaranteed weekly
• Additional overtime hours required
• Core hours: Monday- Friday 7:00a-3:30p, Saturday 8-12n (occasional Sunday/holiday deliveries when customer needs require)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

• Warehouse experience: 3 years (Required)
• Driving: 3 years (Required)
