UAV Flight Simulator Consultant

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Flight Simulator Consultant’s role will support the development of a remote pilot training program for U.S. Air Force active-duty personnel and the MQ-9 “Reaper”. The program will involve the use of government provided Aircrew Training Devices and Desktop Trainers. The consultant will be directly involved in the creation of an organizational structure, staffing and management plans.

Major Area of Responsibility:
Provides technical expertise, recommendations, and written solutions to the Business Development Team to include but not limited to the following:

• Analyzes program requirements and contracted staff positions
• Participates in program site visits and or working groups
• Participates in daily / weekly remote planning sessions (remote)
• Develops an organizational management approach and staffing structure based on contract requirements
• Assists in the development of recruiting and retention planning for all positions
• Participates in the creation, review, and revisions of draft products
• Provides recommendations for the professional development and training of staff
• Support phase-in and implementation of program

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in the use of the Aircrew Training Devices (ATD) for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), ideally the MQ-9 (Predator Mission Aircrew Training System (PMATS); Medium Altitude Long Endurance Tactical (MALET); and or equivalent Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) Standalone Aircrew Trainer (MSAT)
• Knowledge of the M-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) training flight scenarios
• Expertise in creating training and management plans and or programs of instruction (POI) for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication (presentations, briefings, issuing written correspondence)
• Effective team building skills
• MS Office Suite Proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Basic familiarization of current technologic tools (tablets, notebooks, applications, etc.)
• Basic familiarization or experience with pilot/controller communications or phrases
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• U.S. Citizen
• Possess or obtain an active security clearance

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates Degree, Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Management, Program Management, Aviation, or equivalent degree in related field.

Experience or educational background in the following:

• UAV Flight Simulator Project Management Experience
• UAV Pilot Certification / License
