Brief Summary of Work for this Position
This University Program Associate position serves as the main marketing and communications contact for the Department of Music. As the liaison to OUR, this position will collaborate on design, media, and marketing projects for departments produced by the department. This position will also assist in planning and/or providing support for over 100 annual events.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
- Experience and/or background in music are helpful and desired
- Event management, community outreach, commercial printing, and a background in writing are also a plus
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in graphic design, with emphasis on visual and typographic systems
- minor in English or technical writing or equivalent experience; experience editing foreign language texts
- Three years (post-college) in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Excel, web content, and portfolio
- Three years of commercial printing experience
- Two years of event and facilities management: emphasis on music performance and logistics at the university level, including box office, house management, and crew
- One year of community outreach
