Job description
Overview:
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. Operate a dish machine to wash dishes, glasses, cups, trays, silverware and food service equipment. Set up and clean dish machine area; check temperatures and soap dispensing levels. Store clean equipment and utensils. Assist in maintaining preparation and service areas in a sanitary condition. Empty and move garbage to dump site and keep rear loading dock and dumpster area clean and free of debris.
Responsibilities:
Completes all logs required with the position (dish wash and rinse temperatures, cleaning, production etc.)

Follows all safety regulations, reports safety hazards, cleans spills and practices energy conservation where applicable.

Follows established procedures for the storage of dry and perishable goods, supplies and equipment as they pertain to the dining department.

Follows prescribed break and meal schedules with appropriate communication with supervisors and management. -
Follows prescribed procedures for maintaining food storage areas, small wares and dish ware in a clean and sanitary condition.

Identifies and uses appropriate cleaning agents, solutions and equipment for specific assignments to ensure the safeguard of all surfaces against damage as well as the safe guard of the staff and residents.

Operates, utilized and maintains equipment in accordance with the department or manufacturers specifications so that no damage or excessive wear and tear occurs due to a failure to comply.

Organizes time and priorities so that assigned activities are complete within designated time frames.

Promptly accomplishes all tasks in accordance with specifications and time frames. Performs all other tasks assigned

Transports, stocks, cleans and maintains supplies and other essential items in accordance with established schedules.

High School Diploma or equivalent, Preferred
