• Maintain proper amount of wax is available for production on spinning frames.
• Survey each spindle unit on all assigned machines to determine immediate wax needs.
• Change any wax that is ¼" inch thick or less. Do not let wax get paper thin.
• Replace wax as needed and place used wax in box with your name on it. Take used wax to designated area in shipping warehouse when full or at the end of your shift.
• Cycle/rotate and clean frames at least every 3 hours.
• While cycling frames, check for wax not turning.
• Clean and remove any cotton waste or lint buildup on or around the orange neoprins on the waxing device taking care not to break the springs.
• Keep the floor swept in the spinning room and alleys in front and rear of the spinning frames.
• Maintain good housekeeping in designated area at all times.
• Report any unsafe work practices and/or conditions to shift manager immediately.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by shift manager.
• Check the specification sheet for verification of tube color/print and if labels are required.
• Maintain a sufficient supply of tubes from the warehouse, and stock in the aisle between spinning frames.
• Label tubes and place on the spinning frame elevator.
• Ensure elevator is working properly and report any issues to management

SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES:

Previous mechanical experience and good hand eye coordination

PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES

High School Diploma or GED

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to learn and perform all scheduled job procedures independently; to keep the assigned job functioning at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be physically equipped to maintain an upright, walking position for a twelve (12) hour shifts. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must keep work area and machines clean. Wear required personal protective equipment at all times and adhered to all safety rules and procedures.
