Immediately Hiring Full-time Van Driver

Responsibilities of a Van Driver:
- Safely transport residents to and from the facility to pre-determined destinations
- Assure residents’ wheelchairs are clean prior to trips
- Assure transport vehicle has been cleaned and stocked with any supplies needed before going on trips
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance for the transport vehicle
- Keeps individual appointments punctually by assuring the residents are ready to leave at the scheduled
- hour
- Assure residents are transported in the proper chair to and from the vehicle and are safely secured while in
- the vehicle
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain route and mileage logs according to procedure
- Monitor routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels
- Report any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the Administrator immediately
- Ensure all passengers follow safety procedures
- Concerns his/herself with the safety of residents to minimize the potential of fire and accidents
Qualifications for a Van Driver:
- Valid Alabama Driver’s license
- Clean Driving Record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be CPR certified
- Must have active Alabama Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License
- Knowledge of equipment used in long-term care (e.g., lifts, wheelchairs, Geri chairs, and scales)
- Previous related experience in a similar role strongly preferred
- Experience in long term care or hospital setting is strongly preferred
