We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to help provide a positive and welcoming environment for visitors and clients. A successful candidate will have previous experience working in an animal setting and with pet owners. This position is ideal for candidates that are relatively new to the veterinary industry and are looking to kick-start their veterinary career on the medical side. Our dedicated team is comprised of friendly, empathetic people who remember what it was like getting their start. Our office provides an extensive training program to set our new team members up for success during their time here and beyond.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Minimum 6 months of veterinary-related experience
  • Minimum 6 months of reception experience
  • Flexible availability
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficient understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures
  • Preferred Bilingual in Spanish
  • Reliable

DUTIES

Duties for this position include but are not limited to, performing/assisting in:

  • Animal restraining
  • Client education
  • Collecting blood samples
  • Exam rooms
  • Handling of fecal and urine samples
  • Radiology
  • Client check-in and check out
  • General hospital care
  • Performing patient recalls
  • Surgery Monitoring
  • Scheduling appointment
  • Filing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
