Video Content Lead MBN-Y

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a creative and positive Video Content Lead to d evelop original concepts, and program ideas for segments and content for a digital platform that’s youth targeted (MBN Y), and inspire a team of talented, energetic, creative storytellers, film maker.

MBN Y is a product built for the platforms where young people in the MENA region spend much of their time. With content for Gen Z, a conscientious, informed, and unapologetic generation, that is concerned with social justice and not afraid to make their voices heard.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conceptualize, design, produce, and oversee projects across all aspects of our content on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

· Deliver high-quality, meticulously crafted work in a fast-paced environment.

· Determine resources for upcoming projects and ensure they’re allocated to meet deadlines.

· Identify other creators to collaborate with MBN-Y.

· Develop a consistent approach and tone of voice for MBN-Y’s brand.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to support a talented team’s career growth and trajectory.

· Follow best practices and advise the team on trends and ways to optimize content for TikTok and other platforms to engage with audiences on the platform.

· Embrace daily challenges and be resourceful in solving problems.

· Present creative work with confidence, clarity, and sound rationale.

· Collaborate with the content producers on shows and guidelines.

· Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors and freelancers.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, journalism or related fields.

· 7+ years of experience at a renowned media outlet, an agency/studio, or an in-house production house working in digital and content creation.

· Broad and strategic understanding of and interest in current events, pop culture and social media trends.

· have demonstrable skills in visual storytelling.

· Knowledge of, or demonstrable interest in, the relevant content areas – for example, climate and sustainability, artificial intelligence, resilience, mental health, etc.

· Excellent knowledge of social media – the various platforms, formats, user behaviors, analytics.

· Ability to thrive in ambiguity and provide guidance and structure for others.

· Ability to multi-task and have sound editorial judgment.

· Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.

· Proficiency with Adobe Suite - Premiere Pro; After Effects; Photoshop.

· Excellent verbal and written Arabic and English communication skills.

· Must work well in a hybrid work environment.

· A portfolio demonstrating strong creative direction, content design, content writing, and/or visual direction in content creation and digital experiences.
