OnesourcePCS, LLC (OPCS) is seeking a full-time Video Teleconference Technician to provide support to the Commander, Submarine Forces Atlantic (COMSUBLANT) Information Systems, VTC, and Audio/Visual systems necessary for required communications with higher leadership and with the operating forces in SUBMARINE Headquarters, located at Naval Support Activity (NSA), Norfolk, VA.

Pay
$30 – $34 per hour
Job Specific Duties
- Maintain the master VTC schedule for 13+ Video Teleconference centers and serves as the primary coordinator for VTC operation supporting Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic.
- De-conflict or re-schedule VTC in the case of overlapping requirements, assign and set-up conference rooms based on user requirements.
- Initiate and establish connectivity, perform system checkout ensuring both audio and visual performance meets quality standards prior to conference start time.
- Provide technical support in connection with VTC operations, applications, training, and administration.
- Maintain equipment accountability, conduct scheduled inventories and issue audio/video equipment.
- Maintain stock of replacement parts and record equipment checked out to COMSUBLANT staff or other authorized personnel.
- Perform minor maintenance such as replacing bulbs and fuses, and conduct basic equipment troubleshooting.
- Coordinate and participate in the planning and development of new visual information requirements.
- Manage and analyze or perform work necessary for solving visual information problems with multimedia presentations and electronic digital imaging.
- Provide dedicated technical assistance in support of conferences, meetings and presentations. Coordinate customer requirements; recommend appropriate methods of presenting customer materials.
- Conduct bridge scheduling, help desk, remote monitoring, in-room setup and monitoring, and support of classified (SECRET GENSER) and unclassified VTC’s, including USFF IP VTC, Polycom, GVS, etc.
- Provide support to all current and future Audio Visual (AV) Systems (AVS) for COMSUBLANT staff ashore, including scheduling, operation, installation, alignment, requisitions and performance of preventive maintenance and repairs to designated AVS.
- Serve as the AVS technical expert within COMSUBLANT HQ, responsible for technical planning, design, development, testing, scheduling, implementation, operations, preventive maintenance, and routine maintenance of AVS activities including systems and applications development and technical management of AVS.
- Support AVS capabilities including Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, telephonic systems (telephones, faxes and the phone line interfaces), audio systems (speakers, transmitters and associated equipment) and Internet Protocol (IP) based conference systems.
- Stay current with AVS status, operation, scheduling of system use, and control of Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) requirements for each AVS where enabled.
- Install and maintain required AVS equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) directed International Standards Organizations (ISO) standards, and USFF interoperability requirements.
- Determine the overall technical design and structure of AVS to sustain appropriate AVS support to the COMSUBLANT HQ staff.
- Monitor services, functionality, and information assurance requirements, adherence to cryptographic requirements, security, and integrity of AVS.
- Design, develop, and maintain dynamic interfaces using available technology such as Defense Collaboration Services (DCS), Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), Defense Video Services (DVS), and Internet Protocol (IP) based AVS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the design and delivery of AVS services.
- Evaluate new AVS services and technologies of use by the COMSUBLANT HQ staff.
- Apply information security and information assurance policies, principles and practices in the delivery of AVS services, meet security standards and apply security patches as necessary.
- Develop local COMSUBLANT HQ guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP), bulletins and flyers concerning the operation and use of COMSUBLANT HQ AVS portal sites, systems, services, reports and activities.
- Operate and utilize audio visual systems as required.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repair to systems in response to AVS problems.
- Plan and schedule use of COMSUBLANT HQ AVS internally and with distant AVS system to include requests for support across multiple sites.
- Determine required operational levels of supplies and equipment and maintain adequate stock for continuity of operations.
- Maintain, deliver, set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of AVS and sound system equipment in support of COMSUBLANT flag level briefings, multimedia presentations, training, ceremonies and other official purposes.
- Provide expert advice, training, and consultation to departmental AVS operators concerning the operation, capabilities, and equipment functions for AVS.
- Provide on-the-job training to COMSUBLANT N66 team members in AVS capabilities so adequate backup is available to meet customer AVS requirements.
- In support of COMSUBLANT Staff Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and IT Support office, mange the information technology asset inventory. This would include adding, updating, and deleting assets from the COMSUBLANT Portal tracker, managing user acceptance forms, and other processes in conjunction with asset inventory.
- Manage, deliver, set up, and track IT assets for use by COMSUBLANT Staff as directed by the ISSM and track in the asset inventory. gg) In support of the Chief Information Officer, manage and perform user check-in/check-out processes, including routing, management and auditing of required SAAR-N and Local Registration Authority forms.
- In support of the Staff CIO and IT Support office, assist with staff Automated Data Processing (ADP) tasks and computer technical refresh processes, including user coordination, installation team coordination, inventory management, and hard drive accountability and destruction.
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Setting up VTC hardware, establishing and monitoring VTC sessions, correcting minor audio and video issues during VTC sessions, and recommending solutions to command leadership for persistent VTC issues.
- Leveraging the US Fleet Forces Command IP Network, or similar infrastructure, in support of a command-wide series of VTC systems.
- Interacting with senior leadership on a senior military staff in a timely and professional manner in support of critical military operational communications.
- Leveraging established points of contact to establish VTC bridging between various VTC capabilities across multiple participating organizations.
- Providing computer administrative support including helpdesk support and computer system trouble-shooting.
- Managing the Telecommunications Service Request (TSR) process for a major command.
- Utilizing SharePoint workflows to track and report resolutions to customer audio, visual, and telecommunications issues.
- Assisting customers with the effective use of Microsoft Office products, US Navy Flank Speed capabilities, and Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have at least 3 years of CISCO experience
- Must have at least 4 years of Telecommunications experience (preferred)
- Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to work onsite
