We are looking for a qualified VoIP network engineer to oversee the maintenance and management of our Mitel VoIP network. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintain our VoIP enterprise solution architecture and managing SLAs for our IP telephony applications to our end users. You may also be required to troubleshoot LAN and WAN hardware systems as it relates to remote IP phones, softphones, and SIP trunks. Responsibilities will also include management of our cloud-based faxing platform and mobile device management.

Ideal candidates should have advanced knowledge of VoIP networking systems, VMWare management, excellent troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of network and internet security. A VoIP engineer should also be able to design and help engineer the ideal networking system to meet the current and future VoIP networking needs of our company.

Ideal candidates should also be able to evaluate and deploy an MDM solution for the end users allowing them to bring their own cellular device into the network. Working knowledge of cell phone management and provisioning is required as well.

Ideal candidates should have knowledge of Contact Center management applications including agent desktop software, ACD Queue and path management, reporting, wallboards and database management along with troubleshooting of the related applications.

Ideal candidates should have knowledge of Call Recording applications including reporting, call lookups, call archiving and troubleshooting of call recording solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with IT leaders to determine the company’s VoIP management and support needs.
• Analyzing existing VoIP networks and computer systems and provide recommendations.
• Developing architecture plans for voice and data services.
• Manage and maintain the hosted cloud VMWare base appliances associated with VoIP.
• Experience designing and implementing VoIP systems in general but a concentration on Mitel content would be preferred.
• Maintain and Troubleshoot SIP trunking connections.
• Manage and maintain VoIP client software such as UCC and softphone installations on laptops, PC’s and mobile devices.
• Troubleshooting VoIP network issues
• Adding network users and managing company permissions as it relates to VoIP.
• Optimizing network installations for VoIP applications and services.
• Training staff on network and system protocols as it relates to VoIP architecture.
• Administration and troubleshooting of faxing tools and cloud-based faxing platform.
• Select and manage MDM solution and provision, deploy and integrate cellular devices into the network.

Education and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar field.
• In lieu of a four-year degree 5-10 years of industry experience considered.
• Optional system requirements would be experience on Mitel specific content specifically MiVB versions 7-9, MiVB MiVoice Border Gateways in both stand alone and server gateway mode and MiCollab server running version 8 or higher.
• Optional Contact Center Management experience with Mitels MiCC version 9.1 or higher
• Optional Call Recording experience with ASC Mitel Interaction Recording and MiVCR Oaisys version 6.5 or higher.
• SIP trunking configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Previous experience working as a VoIP network engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP Protocols.
• Knowledge of VMWare and virtual systems including hosts, memory, processors, and peripherals.
• Detailed knowledge of network security systems and software.
• Good project management skills.
• Familiarity with WAN and LAN systems.
