The VP, Workforce Solutions is a client facing role that generates revenue and expands market share by developing new clients for AMN Healthcare’s integrated solutions business model by contracting with healthcare systems and other clients primarily for the Recruitment Process Optimization (RPO) division, with strong engagement in cross-functional expansion of synergistic workforce solutions through strategic account optimization. This highly visible sales executive leads client sales engagement, internal cross-functional solution design and deploys consultative selling strategies, in order to establish and leverage new long term, profitable client relationships.

Job Tasks:

  • Achieve annual and quarterly achievement of revenue targets through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Responsible for growing market share within specific region of healthcare market which may include national sales targets and/or specific geographic focus.
  • Qualify new sales opportunities through systematic investigation of client’s situation and objectives, evaluation of revenue potential, and alignment with AMN RPO and Workforce Solutions service offerings.
  • Discover and analyze client strategic objectives, specifications and challenges through trusted advisor and consultative relationship.
  • Initiate and establish relationships with client contacts, through phone calls and in person meetings, to present customized solutions which solve current financial, operational, and workforce planning challenges and align solutions with desired future state.
  • Negotiate complex sales cycle with the client, interfacing with all key buying influencers.
  • Structure detailed strategic plans for building new business relationships with key stakeholders and "C" level executives within client healthcare organizations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations aligned with AMN’s style and branding guidelines to communicate valued solutions to client contacts and decision makers (C-Suite, operational leaders, etc…) to create new revenue streams and/or increase market share, often as part of Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Customize client proposals and presentations based on client situation.
  • Continually expand individual knowledge of healthcare staffing, RPO, and workforce solutions market trends, industry analyst updates, and competitive data by reviewing internal and external sources.
  • Participate in key industry associations, professional associations, and trade organizations.
  • Develop and manage pipeline of diversified accounts by converting opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Communicate sales activities and opportunities through the pipeline call process in order to keep all stakeholders informed of upcoming implementations (i.e. shared services, corporate, sales partners).
  • Maintain accurate records of all account activity within sales database.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Develop, test, and update ROI and financial forecasting tools used in the sales process for RPO in collaboration with finance and RPO Operational Leadership.
  • Calculate return on investment (ROI) assessments during solution design process utilizing financial models and accurate costing in order to set appropriate pricing and ensure profitability.
  • Enhance existing client team programs and identify new pilot program opportunities.
  • Generate contracts and relevant documentation that reflects service agreements, legal language and pricing details.
  • Maintain an expert level knowledge of contract language and process as it relates to RPO clients.
  • Partner with cross-divisional sales team members and leaders to get approval, as needed, or feedback on proposed contract terms, and coordinate to resolve client issues.
  • Foster effective partnerships with all AMN Corporate and Shared Services functions to review contracts to ensure accuracy, timely processing, and increased probability of a win-win client relationship.
  • Communicate regularly with AMN Delivery and Account Management in relevant divisions to educate on client requirements, solution design, and delivery expectations negotiated during sales cycle.
  • Actively engage in AMN cross-selling efforts by identifying viable revenue source referrals and communicating with all AMN business divisions to increase client touch points and grow market share.
  • Design, track, and review Annual Sales Plan and projections, including regular meetings with leadership and other Client Sales team members, to develop strategies and overcome obstacles for achieving revenue-based targets.
  • Partner closely with Avantas to design, implement, and continuously improve cross-selling initiatives and combined consulting approach.
  • Partner closely with the AMN Center for Advancement of Healthcare Professionals to drive market expansion in new graduate transition to practice programs.
  • Lead and execute business development initiatives related to Premier GPO partnership.
  • Collaborate with RPO Operational Leadership to vet and perform due diligence of potential partners and/or acquisition interests.
  • Lead and execute thought leadership initiatives for new delivery models, RPO branding, market-penetration strategies, and client optimization philosophy.
  • Foster effective relationships with external technology partners and service organizations to drive mutual market-share expansion and increase cross-selling efforts.
  • Drive innovation in RPO through exploration and introduction of cutting-edge technologies, programs, strategies, and partnerships.

Minimum Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Education/Certifications:

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years in national/large account business development and/or implementation for healthcare, staffing, and workforce management organizations.
  • Specialized experience in Managed Service Programs (MSP), and Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) highly desirable

Pay Rate

$111,500 - $139,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
