The Vice President of Health Plan Data and Analytics is responsible for guiding the data and analytics strategy and platforms to transform data into business value and drive data driven business change.
This leader will collaborate with senior leaders within the health plan to define the information assets and execute the strategic roadmap while building an analytic organization that is responsive to a rapidly changing health plan marketplace.

The Vice President of Health Plan Data and Analytics is responsible for guiding the data and analytics strategy and platforms to transform data into business value and drive data driven business change.
This leader will collaborate with senior leaders within the health plan to define the information assets and execute the strategic roadmap while building an analytic organization that is responsive to a rapidly changing health plan marketplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required. Masters degree or PhD preferred.
- Healthcare leader with at least 12 years of broadly based, progressive experience, including at least 3-5 years in health plan data and analytics leadership.
- Proven leadership and management skills are paramount and the successful candidate must clearly demonstrate the ability to create, lead and cast a vision for the health plan CoEs.
- Must possess significant experience and expertise in business intelligence or analytics and strategy, demonstrated knowledge of health plan analytics, and demonstrated experience leading teams/departments. One's experience may come from a variety of healthcare related environments including payer, provider, consulting, or vendor organizations.
- Possess outstanding communication, listening and interpersonal skills; and be able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives and constituencies.
- Must demonstrate natural relationship management and influencing skills and the ability to work seamlessly with health plan leadership. The successful candidate will bring creativity and drive, a strong customer service orientation.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting the strategic direction of the Health Plan Informatics Center of Expertise (CoEs) within the Health Plan executive team and across the enterprise.
- Serve as the champion for the data-driven culture advancing the use of analytic capabilities across the health plan.
- Building, managing, coaching and mentoring a highly cohesive, high-performing team that works collaboratively to achieve business objectives and value creation opportunities.
- Effectively leverages, engages, and coordinates with all hub and spoke teams in the Analytics Organization to deliver on objectives for the health plan.
- Aligning the CoEs strategy with health plans business objectives and strategic initiatives/goals.
- Guiding budget and proactive investment decisions on behalf of the CoEs to achieve analytics maturity.
- Understanding market trends in the analytics landscape and their impact on healthcare
and integrated systems.
- Developing and articulating the analytics vision for the health plan and the value proposition for the each CoEs under health plan informatics.
- Supporting and monitoring major business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Provides analytic leadership on key strategic health plan initiatives, coordinating the input and efforts of the analytics team in support of those cross-cutting initiatives.
- Drives health plan informatics governance through spoke steering committee and serves as a contributing member of the Analytics Program Steering Committee to advocate health plan analytics agenda.
- Actively communicates across the organization, keeping key health plan leaders informed of the projects and progress of the CoEs.
- Creating a disciplined operating environment that drives the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensures coordination and collaboration between IT and technical teams within the Analytics Organization on systems implementations and data ingestion/storage.
- Ensuring the vision, goals and objectives of the Analytics Organization are met and exceeded at all levels of the organization.
