About the Team
The Lucidworks Professional Services (PS) team is dedicated to delivering a world-class experience to our customers. We help customers translate high level objectives into tactical execution of search-based applications which delivers short- and long-term value.
About the Role
The VP, Professional Services will lead the overall delivery of products and services across the Professional Services department. You will drive revenue growth and profitability while delivering exceptional services to our customers and achieving a high and sustained level of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for supervising and developing employees, engaging with clients and vendors, managing the development of value-adding services, and ensuring that all services run smoothly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the Professional Services teams, including Project Managers and Search Consultants. Ensure effective allocation and high utilization rates of resources, delivering exceptional value for our customers and meeting or exceeding profit requirements
- Align to and participate with pre-sales and sales to drive strategies that create solutions and services growth with existing and new customers, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential execution risks for new solutions / offerings.
- Maximize and measure customer satisfaction, develop extensive relationships with current customers and Lucidworks partners and seek additional service opportunities that drive value and strengthen customer relationships
- Manage environments, operations and service delivery against client expectations agreed in statements of works, financial budgets and resource utilization goals. Ensure the department is operated efficiently and profitably, collaborates across other departments and stakeholders, and take necessary short and long-term actions to optimize the organization’s ROI
- Attract and manage best-in-class industry talent, foster collaboration across the team, identify development and learning opportunities and coach team members to uncover and achieve their highest potentials
- Develop and advocate for packaged service offerings for clients to drive increases in post-implementation services revenue and solution sales
- Establish and cultivate solid working relationships with customers through building individual relationships with customer executive level leadership
- Maintain a solid working relationship with Lucidworks Systems Integration and Independent Consulting Partners
- Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual and as-needed executive level reporting and visibility into the performance of the Professional Services business
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Earned Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in working with and managing Enterprise Accounts, preferably with Fortune 250-sized accounts
- At least 8-10 years leadership experience within a Professional Services environment, preferably with Search technologies
- Understanding of Open Source and Big-Data technologies. Understanding of Search technologies is preferred
- Demonstrated track record in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
- Strategically-minded, with clear capability to identify potential areas for business improvement and growth
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding teams accountable for performance
- Strong reputation working with inter-disciplinary teams as being innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly changing environment
- Resourcefulness – willing to jump in, work with both opportunity and constraint, and leverage existing resources to accomplish goals
- Team player - confident collaborating with a diverse community of people and personalities across geographies, backgrounds, and professional abilities
Compensation Information
Lucidworks’ salary range for this position is $215,000 - $265,000 USD per year. This salary range may include multiple levels. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask the hiring manager about to understand in more detail. Salary is just one component of Lucidworks’ total compensation package for employees. Your total rewards package includes (but is not limited to) discretionary variable bonus, equity, top-notch medical, dental and vision coverage, a variety of voluntary benefits, generous PTO policy, various leave policies, and many other region-specific benefits.
