AuSable Valley Community Mental Health Authority provides quality prevention, education, and mental health services, in a fiscally responsible manner, in Iosco, Ogemaw, and Oscoda Counties, which are aimed at improving the health and welfare of persons served, promote greater independence, and improve the quality of life for people in these counties with developmental disabilities, mental illness or substance use disorders.

Waiver Coordinator

Provide oversight and maintain compliance, throughout the departments by providing direct consultation and training to staff regarding MDHHS waivers. The person in this position will have a working knowledge of all waivers and be responsible for monitoring waiver data and training staff in the application of waivers and specific requirements pertaining to each. Works closely with the Clinical Service Director (CSD) to analyze data, revise program components based on outcome results and/or fidelity measures, and assists in implementing new waivers within the departments. Must be able to lead by example, model professionalism, and be a champion for independence, integration, and recovery. Persons with Lived Experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities or substance abuse disorders are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in human services field
  • One year experience in the mental health field
  • Certified as a QMHP, QIDP, and/or CMHP and/or be limited or fully licensed in the State of Michigan in their relative field.
  • Maintain all required trainings and certifications.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the Board's coverage area and, at times, around different areas of the state. Possession of a driver's license valid in the State of Michigan, vehicle insurance as required by Michigan Law, and a good driving record; be a U.S. Citizen or have possession of necessary papers allowing holder to work legally within the United States.
