Position: Warehouse Associate – Day Shift
Salary: $21-$23 per hour to start, depending on aptitude to learn and experience
Work Schedule: Full-time 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Non-negotiable Requirements: Must be 25 years of age AND have a valid drivers license.
Dress Code: Clean, neat, appropriate jeans and shirt with work boots. Required high visibility vest (company provided) Reports to: Day Shift Supervisor
General Description: The Warehouse Associate is an important part of our warehouse team. There are a few primary responsibilities of this position. Learning and backing up different areas of the warehouse is essential. This position will be performing other warehouse-related tasks as assigned/needed throughout the day. These duties include helping stage product and materials for installs, unload deliveries, organize materials and consumables, general cleaning, Lean learning and activities, and other warehouse-related tasks. A great job for an energetic & organized self-starter.

· Must be at least 25 years of age.
Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license, and an acceptable driving record from the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Possess a smart phone for navigation and communication.
Overview of Duties: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing the following position-specific duties using established procedures:
· Provide assistance in the warehouse, including assisting with:
o Material Staging – various trims, metal, wood
o Product staging – windows, doors, hardware
o Unloading window deliveries (S1 Truck)
o Unloading and loading installation trucks
o Shop work – Perform work on windows not done at the factory
o General cleaning & organization
o Lean Projects and activities
· Driving company vehicles to pickup and deliver materials to job sites for crews (site runs).
· Able to drive or learn to drive a 26’ box truck on our weekly “milk runs” to Medford, Eugene, and Bend, delivering product and materials, and picking up paperwork. This is a backup role if Transport needs help
· Other duties as assigned
Other General Warehouse duties include:
· Lots of physical activity/lifting, bending, etc.
· Servicing the installation crews as they prepare to depart
· Using forklift (training and certification provided)
· General warehouse clean up and tidying up of boxes, pallets, etc.
· Follow OSHA safety regulations
· Learn and apply Lean Principals and do Lean projects
· Various projects as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must be able to repeatedly lift 50-75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks associated with construction
· Accurate measuring and cutting of materials
· Light Construction and carpentry materials
· High school diploma or GED
· Employment contingent on passing drug screen, background check and Motor Vehicle Record screen
Required Experience:
· 2 or more years of warehouse experience
· Construction materials knowledge
· Warehouse operations
· Safety conscious and aware of surroundings
· Driving vans, box trucks (or aptitude to learn) within two hundred miles of the Portland, OR area
o Deliver product, sometimes 40 ft. ladders and safety related equipment, pick up materials
· Measure product dimensions
o Carpenter’s math: fractions, reading tape measures, quantity counting
o Example: tape measure; 2x4 is not dimensionally 2” by 4”
· Customer Service orientation
o Installers are the Warehouse’s primary “customers.” The goal as a team is to set up Installation Crews for success and provide then the on-site support they need
Preferred Experience:
· Light carpentry
o Chop saw, table saw, grinder, hand tools, caulk, and other assembly tools
· Fluency in Russian and/or Ukrainian a plus but not required
· Forklift – Training and certification for Renewal by Andersen provided
· Driving shop trucks, vans, box trucks
· Computers – Windows suite to include light excel, Outlook, Internet
o Lean/5S/Six Sigma – Certification not required but would be a big plus!
