POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Chino, CA. This position is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordination of warehouse activities, which include the day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing work organized by team leaders and supervisor (who then report to the manager).

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Manages and oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods. Also oversees picking, packing and distribution activity
  • Implements and assures workplace health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment; supports overall building maintenance activities by coordinates with outside vendors
  • Plans the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organizes special requirements such as production line stocking and floor stocking products
  • Ensures set productivity targets are met
  • Manages teams of workers including the selection, training, monitoring performance, performance appraisals and handles disciplinary action
  • Leads the team by motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork
  • Ensures proper staffing needs are met to maintains day-to-day business activities and on time delivery of finished goods to our customers
  • Communicates effectively with other departments, staff groups and suppliers/vendors
  • Manages stock control and processes orders while ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met
  • Maintains stock control systems up to date and assists in the planning of future capacity requirements
  • Maintains safe storage of parts in the building and outside storage areas
  • Coordinates and manages the daily cycle counting process to ensures accurate inventory records in the ERP system; leads and manages the team to performs annual physical inventory
  • Negotiates rates with carrier representatives
  • Coordinates outgoing and incoming goods with outside process vendors
  • Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment. Oversees the coordination of truck and vehicle usage

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma/GED required; bachelor´s degree preferred in business, logistics or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ Warehouse Management experience; preferably in operations/warehouse environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience
  • Experience and desire to work in a hands-on role to identify areas of improvement
