GVI, Inc., a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Warehouse / Stockroom Personnel to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Applicants will perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments. Receiving duties typically involve the following: verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
- Applicants will also perform a variety of warehousing duties. Applicants will be responsible for verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
- Duties will include transporting or storing materials, manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations or transporting material.
- All applicants must have an Active DoD Security Clearance, possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and able to frequently lift 50 lbs.

Shipping & Receiving Clerk:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience.
- Active SECRET security clearance.
Position Requirements:
- US Citizen only.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance is required; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
- Possess a valid US Driver’s license.
