Warehouse Runner

Lifesaving Systems Corp. (LSC) is the world’s leading manufacturer of helicopter and maritime rescue and survival equipment. We are currently looking for a candidate with the right skills, drive and hustle to join the team. Our Warehouse Runners handle all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities at LSC. They are vital players to the team and to our customers.

Warehouse runners have to be very (very) comfortable using computers and navigating our systems, but there are no desks in the warehouse so this is an “up-and-moving” full time job. The warehouse is not air conditioned and you will be subject to the current weather (cold or hot). Warehouse Runners need to be in good physical condition, able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to use equipment such as a forklift and rolling stairs. These positions are full-time, 7:30am - 5:00pm - Monday through Thursday and 7:30am - 11:30am on Friday.

What You’ll Do:

Shipping:

  • Filling customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Using computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment
  • Performing daily and weekly cleaning according to SOPs
  • Maintaining and organizing adequate shipping supplies
  • Using manual and electric pallet jacket as needed
  • Ensuring that products processed for shipping are given to the correct courier
  • Assisting in other areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned
  • Assisting in labeling and packaging
  • Preparing shipper cartons

Receiving:

  • Management of the receipt of the product through the whole process starting at drop off from carrier through placement on shelf or shipment to customer.
  • Prepare receiving paperwork for quality approval.
  • Perform inspections against drawings on raw material.
  • Communicate daily with the manager regarding any discrepancies relating to receiving material and the vendor.
  • Inspection and receipt of products from production. Determine packaging requirements are met and back orders are filled prior to stocking

Inventory:

  • Accurately count what’s on the shelves and create detailed reports for your manager
  • Ensure everything is in its correct place in the correct box or package at all times
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the inventory locations

What Skills You’ll Need. What Qualifications We Need:

  • See “Attitude First” above - that is 90% of it.
  • Attention to Detail. (If you aren't good at math or counting stuff, you don’t want any part of this job)
  • Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to work on their feet all day.
  • Shipper's lift stuff - but not more than 50 pounds at a time (and usually under 5)
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude required.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • UPS Worldship Experience a plus
