GAVIN FOUNDATION, INC.

JOB TITLE: Weekend Support Staff

REPORTS TO: Program Director

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for maintaining the safety of residents and facility and provide understanding and direction to the clients in program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Program facility maintenance and supervise resident life skills.

* Ensure the safety of residents (physical and emotional)

* Ensure that program policies are followed and document any deviation of said policies

* Facilitate 12 Step groups.

* Collect urine samples when necessary.

* Check Clients in / out after overnight passes

* Ability to perform shift change and medication log

* Perform other duties as assigned

* Perform room checks with Wand System

REQUIREMENTS:

* Must have effective speaking and writing skills.

* Knowledge of laws governing confidentiality and rules of ethical behavior.

* Team player who can work well in a challenging environment

* Personal characteristics of understanding, dedication, warmth, empathy and genuineness are essential.

* If in recovery from alcohol or other substances you must have two year of continuous sobriety.

* Must meet Massachusetts CORI requirements

DESIRED SKILLS:

* Working knowledge of 12 Step Programs

* Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques or desire to learn.

*CPR certified and Nasal Narcan trained

SCHEDULE: Charlestown Houses

Weekends 7:00am - 3:30pm or 2:00pm -10:00pm
