Job Title: Welder

Overview:Suit-Kote Corporation has a welding and fabrication shop that assists in the repairs of our company’s equipment and the welding needs of our facilities.

Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

· Perform MIG, Stick, and TIG welding processes to fabricate and repair equipment and other company projects.

· Set welding and shop equipment up according to specific jobs

· Complete projects from prints/drawings and or verbal communication

· Complete projects in timely manner

· Assist with various shop maintenance

· Follow all company safety policies

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 1-2 Years previous welding and fabrication experience
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Strong work ethic

· Physical Organization and time management

· Flexibility in hours – overtime and weekend hours may be necessary

• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
• Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements

· Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present

· Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting

Other Preferred Qualities:

• Ability to read and understand SDS

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

• High school diploma or GED – a two year technical degree is preferred

• Basic math skills
