About the Human Resources Department:
The Human Resources' department manages the Recruitment, Hiring, Compensation & Benefits, Training/Development, Labor Relations and other service needs for the 500+ personnel who comprise its workforce. The department's staff and managers focus on data-driven strategies to advance its goals of excellent customer service and of supporting broader organizational goals of workforce and service excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Wellness and Benefits Specialist responsibilities span, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support Graham's Wellness Committee by coordinating year-round wellness events/education sessions.
  • Create/design weekly wellness communication's using CANVA.
  • Process various benefit invoices including 1199 union
  • Oversee termination process which includes sending separation letters, COBRA notification, terminating individuals in Paycom and terminate from benefits in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely and organized filing and record-keeping.
  • Provide assistance in tracking leave accommodations.
  • Provide assistance as need in monthly Benefits Orientation.
  • Assist in responding to frequently asked benefit related questions.
  • Provide support to request for information and correspondence including, personnel files for audits or special investigations; employment verifications, ensuring that verifiers/employees are redirected to the appropriate external agency and given procedures relating to the employment verification process.
  • Provide backup to checking mail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Administrative or Project Assistant in Human Resources or in an Executive Office.

Core Competencies:
  • Strong verbal and written skills communication skills
  • Excellent Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to be flexible and to multitask
  • Ability to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulation
  • Ability to evaluate/interpret information and make independent judgments/decisions.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, relationship building, active listening, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Paycom is a plus.

Position Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt Professional.
Salary: $45,918.60 + Merit pay + Benefits.
Location: One Pierrepont Plaza, Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid Work Arrangement: Remote/Onsite).
