Darling Ingredients is looking for an entry-level Yard Jockey / Production Associate to join our team in Strawberry Plains, TN. This is a key role, focused on maintaining a safe and productive operation of the ramp area at our plant. A class A-CDL license is not required.

We have opportunities available on 2nd shift and 3rd shift.

Job Summary:

• Maintain safe and productive operation of ramp area. Clean work area. Load or unload trailers as appropriate.
• Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Efficient loading or unloading of trailers as assigned.
• Coordinate the movement of trailers around the yard as needed.
• When unloading, perform proper pit selection based on material type.
• Safely operate equipment used such as overhead cranes or use of the Bartlett for unloading trailers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to drive tractor trailers on the yard safely and pick up trailers to dump.
• Ability to read instructions on chemical containers and safety data sheets (SDS).

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move 55 gallon drums weighing 450 pounds using hand truck.
• Bending and stooping.
• Work at heights of at least 12 feet.
• Climb stairs frequently.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work both inside and outside, in a damp environment 80% of the time.
