Preferred availability: Multiple weekdays from 4pm-8pm, additional shift opportunities available

Gym staff support a safe, enjoyable and inclusive environment for all YMCA members and guests. The position functions to enhance the member experience by providing member assistance in the gymnasium area while keeping facilities neat and programs running smoothly and in a timely manner. Gym staff setup and take down equipment and materials for any YMCA programs and events in the Sebring-Lewis Center gymnasium and elsewhere.

Staff also serves to facilitate youth sports programs that promote connection to a healthy, values-based recreational environment. This may include performing referee duties, coaching and/or providing substitution coverage. Staff builds strong relationships with youth participants and adult chaperones to further program retention. Sports may include basketball, soccer, tumbling, volleyball, flag football, etc. for ages 3-14.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
