Job description

Production - Stacker Operator is responsible for stack finished boxes, set up different machinery.

Primary Duties

  • Read and follow instructions on factory masters
  • Set-up delivery end of machine
  • Set-up bundler and hold down arm
  • Set-up load former
  • Secure proper cover sheets and tie sheets for production runs
  • Secure load tags for production runs
  • Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master
  • Ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets and tie sheets
  • Ensure each unit has proper load tags and they are positioned correctly
  • 10 Monitor quality of boxes
  • Report box quality problems to operator as they occur
  • Assist operator and first helper as necessary
  • Be willing to move up the line of progression to operator regardless of shift
  • Ensure correct bundle and unit counts
  • Report final count of piece unit to operator
  • Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs
  • Perform each task in a manner which prevents bodily injury, product, and equipment damage
  • Use proper lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending techniques
  • Observe all safety and health guidelines
  • Other duties may be assigned by supervision
  • Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends and overtime

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English
  • Must be able to write legibly in English
  • Must be in good physical condition, i.e. able to lift 25-50 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Must be able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
  • Must be a qualified Bundler
  • Prior work experience in the corrugated industry, preferred
  • 6 months' experience as a Bundler, preferred
