Parkside Rehab and Nursing is looking for an energetic individual who can assist in various activities in both small and large group settings. We have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our team. We are looking for someone who is outgoing with a great personality bringing smiles and happiness to others. As an Activities Assistant within our Long-Term Skilled Nursing Facility, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities and programs.

Schedule:

• Part-time, 9am - 5pm (20-25 hrs p/week)
• Working every other weekend (Saturday or Sunday)

Responsabilities:

• Assist the activities director in planning, organizing, and implementing various activities.
• Meet resident's needs and interested, taking into account the abilities and physical limitations of each individual resident.
• Assist resident with transport to center activities.
• Document attendance at activities.
• Works with volunteer staff to ensure smooth operations of activities programs.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of proven experience in recreation/activities area.
• Compassionate, outgoing and enjoys helping others.
• Experience working or caring for the elderly or individuals with physical or mental limitations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be vaccinated against Covid or have an exemption.

Compensation based on experience.
