At a glance:

The world’s fastest-growing sports brand is seeking an Apparel Category Lead for North America to lead the next chapter of growth in this already fast-growing vertical. Based in Portland, yet frequently visiting our global HQ in Zurich and dealers across North America, this newly formed and important role will help lead strategies to ensure we bring an apparel lens to the full business, across all channels.

Your team:

You will be embedded in every function of the North American team. Reporting to the GM and working with sales, marketing, tech reps, happiness deliverer’s, operations and merchants to define and execute a strategy which supports the growth of the apparel and accessories category for the region.

Your mission:

  • Make On known as a true Sportswear Brand, head-to-toe. You’ll need to be a strong leader and partner with many functions to bring this category to market and shape it into our long range plans to make apparel a significant part of our total business.
  • Bring together merchandising, sales, marketing and tech teams to launch apparel and accessories in market.
  • Manage GTM moments specific to this category through all functions.
  • Bring a strong analytical mind and view to the performance and health of the business across all channels, including wholesale and ecomm.
  • Be the single, strong connection point to our global apparel design and commercial team ensuring a consistent global view on product, campaigns and communities.
  • You are constantly connected to the innovation and sustainability teams to ensure the range is forward-looking and industry leading with regionally specific feedback being brought forth.
  • Gathering and analyzing all data and future trends, including attending trade shows and market visits, to initiate the seasonal kick-off, working with your team to validate and input marketplace product data.

Your Story:

  • 8 + years of industry related experience
  • A higher education degree (bachelor or above) in Business Administration, Product Management, Marketing or any other related field.
  • Perfect understanding of the premium lifestyle market and performance outdoors and its opportunities.
  • Strength in managing project and ability in delivering throughout the full process end-to-end.
  • Demonstrated passion for the apparel and/or fashion industry.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage complex projects whilst sticking to critical timelines and deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, ambition and willingness to take on challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently through strategic plans.
  • Positive track record working with a global team is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and understand retail math and KPI’s across multiple channels (own retail, wholesale, ecommerce)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
