Baker/Crew Member: Job Description

Pay: $15-$21 per hour/DOE + tips

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time

Crumbl® Cookies is coming to Walnut Creek and we need happy, hard workers who are willing to commit to employment for at least 6-8 months. We pride ourselves on serving FAST & FRESH gourmet cookies to Crumbl fans everywhere!

Come learn the ropes of the food and beverage industry at our fast-paced gourmet cookie company! If you are good with people, responsible, and have a strong work ethic, we'll teach you the rest. We need people to make cookie dough, bake cookies, frost cookies, and box cookies. Most importantly, you'll be an ambassador of the Crumbl® brand and will help lead guests through an amazing experience.

Baker Responsibilities:

• Read and understand Crumbl recipes
• Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make cookies
• Decorating and displaying the finished product
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
• Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payment, and providing exceptional customer service
• Ensuring that delivery orders are accurate and timely
• Cleaning and restocking the workstation and ensuring all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift

Baker Requirements:

• Must have Food Handlers Certification or willing to obtain prior to start
• Flexible/open availability
• 18 years and older preferred (Due to industrial mixer)
• 16-17 years old (work permit required prior to start)
• 15 years old (Box Team only)
• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
• Basic math and computer skills
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods
• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, weekend, and holiday availability
• Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment
• Ability to be stationary 50% and move 50% of the time
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and computer keyboard
• Ability to position self to raise and lower self while handling supplies
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Ability to observe details at close range
• Ability to move supplies and equipment weighing 10-20 pounds for extended period
