Shift: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm.:
Every 4th Saturday (5 hours) with a day off during that week.:

Green Tree Pharmacy is a long term care pharmacy located in Minonk, IL, which currently serves almost 100 long term care facilities. As we continue to expand our services, we are in need of a Billing Technician. This position will have responsibilities involving the billing of prescriptions.

Responsibilities:

• Answer calls from residents and/or patient representatives with questions about billing statements and insurance coverage
• Request Authorizations from Medicare Part D plans and Illinois Department of Public Aid
• Make calls to doctors’ offices and facilities to get information on prior approvals and alternate drug choices
• Review and Verify pay status with nursing homes and update records on census changes
• Responsible for a group of facilities to ensure correct billing status before End of Month invoices are sent out and tracking the Medicaid eligibility statuses each month
• Create billing charges for emergency medications purchased
• Monitor and Record the Return Medications for Credit or Destruction for auditing purposes
• Process Account Payables/Invoices

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy background is helpful, but we will train the right person
• Must be dependable
• Must have a strong ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers
• Must have initiative to complete tasks and provide proactive, critical thinking

Vaccine Mandate: Effective November 1, 2021, all current staff and new hires must either be vaccinated or have one of the following: received the single dose of the Johnson Johnson vaccine or the first dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine – 2nd dose will be required.
