Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Worker

You will interact with everyone from the President to Maintenance internally and externally with our Vendors, Subcontractors, General Contractors and Clients.

Responsibilities Include:

· Assist Logistics Manager and Purchasing Manager with shipping, receiving, and inventory organization within the warehouse space.

-Operating a 25' Box Truck making deliveries to various points on L.I and the 5 Boroughs.

· Assist Logistics Manager in preparing, loading and unloading trucks.

· Assists in organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory using barcode scanning system.

· Assist Office Staff as needed to move boxes, materials etc. to and around office and warehouse.

· Understand and maintain bin locations, allocating equipment, tools and materials to protect from wet and cold weather.

· Check trucks/vans daily for cleanliness prior to start of driving – clean as necessary.

· Take photos of scratches, dents, other truck conditions and forward to Logistics Manager.

· Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.

· Loads, secures and unloads cargo. Specifically, responsible to properly and safely load truck to minimize damage to material, tools and equipment being delivered.

COMPETANCIES/SKILLS:

-MUST have Box Truck Driving Experience

· Accuracy

· Prioritization

· Speed

· Communication

· Ability to lift of (80) eighty pounds.

· Forklift license

· Ability to work flexible schedules; working an (8) hour day (can be more if needed) with different start times.

· Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.

· Effective English reading, writing and communication skills.

· Ability to operate different tools, and to troubleshoot equipment problems.

· Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

· Class D or E NYS Driver License

· Clean driving record.

o Ability to pass random Drug tests

o No DWI/DUI conviction in the past (5) years.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

-Box Truck experience required

· Experienced Warehouse worker with (3+) years

· Familiar with warehouse practices and methods

· Packaging storage
