VP Supply Corp is one of the nation's largest distributors of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical supplies. We have over 350 employees with 15 locations across Western New York and Pennsylvania. Position Overview:

We are seeking to hire a Branch Manager with at least 3 years of sales experience and 5 years of leadership/management experience in a large and fast-paced environment for our Albany branch. This position will lead our local operations of this location which includes inside sales, outside sales, counter sales, and warehouse teams as well as our Ballston Lake showroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the branch operations, including overall supervision of approximately 30 - 35 employees.
  • Manage the overall operations of the branch location, including hiring, coaching, training, and scheduling of employees to ensure the branch is running efficiently to provide the best customer service.
  • Ensure buildings, office and grounds are maintained in good, safe, professional, and working conditions.
  • Build and maintain an environment of engagement by listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers and implement solutions to solve problems.
  • Address and resolve any issues brought by employees or customers.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address employee conflicts and employee corrective actions.
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance and overall profitability of the branch.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plan to grow the branch's revenues and profit.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales by developing new customers, and/or broadening product line penetration to existing customers.
  • Maintain inventories at adequate levels, promote sales, and maximize the net profit of the branch while meeting strategic branch and company goals.
  • Analyze branch data and identify areas of opportunity and implement solutions to continuously improve the overall performance of the location.


Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of operations or sales experience with in 5 years in a leadership/management position required.
  • Prior experience within the HVAC, plumbing or electrical industries is strongly preferred.
  • Prior P&L experience with aspect of managing sales and operations highly desired.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and empower individuals and teams.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and effectively lead through stressful situations.
  • Proven track record to use data and metrics to implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn internal ERP system.
  • Must be able to undergo a motor vehicle and background check and meet company standards.
  • Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location.


Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This job operates in primarily a clerical, office setting but will require to frequently be in a high traffic warehouse that is exposed to outdoor weather conditions. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to lift 50-75 pounds. While mainly standard hours are scheduled for this position, flexibility is required to be able to ensure all daily branch functions are completed.
