We have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Sales Manager in our Denton, TX Branch. This opportunity is available due to an internal promotion.

As the Branch Sales Manager who owns their market, this means to:

  • Champion a “Safety First” culture
  • Drive sales growth by developing & leading a local sales team
  • Ensure team members deliver friendly, professional, and timely service to all customers
  • Monitor performance, profitability, and flow-through of the branch

The Branch Sales Manager has Profit and Loss responsibilities for the branch serving the Dentonmarket. The Branch Sales Manager is accountable for the operation of the branch, ensuring people engagement, maximum sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory control, associate accountability and operating costs.

All of our CE Team Members are responsible for delivering a quality customer experience while maintaining a branch that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need.

Branch Sales Managers lead the branch location in many ways including:

People First

  • Engage with associates, lead and develop team members, recruit, hire, train and develop new associates in compliance with labor laws and company policy in collaboration with the HR team
  • Mentor and coach associates on career aspirations and advancement opportunities. Maintain a positive attitude and lead with fairness.
  • Implement and maintain the highest quality customer experience in the industry
  • Possess a high degree of personal accountability

Safety

  • Promote Safety awareness and ensure associates are employing safe practices at all times
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures while working.
  • Complete work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self, others, and customers

Delivering Results Sales Growth/ P&L Management

  • Drive Branch Sales Scorecard performance
  • Utilize Business Intelligence platform to analyze and drive sales performance
  • Work directly with other sales channels to develop strategies for increased branch traffic
  • Maintain open communication with horizontal and vertical teams, customers and vendor partners
  • Effectively manage the branch P&L
  • Develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives
  • Maintain freight spend by ensuring locations use the CTS system to choose the most reliable and economical carriers
  • Effectively manage all aspects of inventory for the branch
  • Manage labor costs, overtime and utilization of all associates (including temporary employees)
  • Ensure full compliance with all SOX key controls

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Associates degree with military or industry experience, or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Prior leadership roles with profit and loss responsibility preferred
  • Prior roles in leading people in a retail environment
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly grow sales in a retail environment
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional relationships
  • Experience analyzing and using customer, market, and competitor data to make informed decisions and business planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with contractors strongly desired
  • Computer literacy with proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be willing to participate
  • Ability to function at an above average level in a technical environment
  • Prior experience using sales and/or inventory management software
  • Prior experience in motivating and influencing a team
