raSmith is a multi-disciplinary consulting civil and structural engineering and land surveying firm. Our public and private clients come to us for creative and effective solutions for their projects. We work on projects nationwide from our seven locations in Wisconsin, Illinois and California.

CAD Technician - Primary Responsibilities:

• Work on a team to assist in site civil design for development or redevelopment projects.
• Utilize computer aided drafting (CAD) techniques in Civil3D to prepare detailed civil engineering drawings for site grading, drainage, paving and utilities (storm drain, domestic and fire water, sanitary sewer) for commercial, industrial, retail, hospitality, mixed-use, and residential developments.
• Maintain CAD standards and procedures for the firm and assist other team members.
• Contact governing agencies for plan submittal requirements.
• Process civil engineering plans with governing agencies for review/approval.

CAD Technician - Skills and Requirements:

Successful candidates will have:

• An Associate’s Degree in civil engineering or will have completed a technical program at a technical school.
• 1 year of applicable experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D software is needed.
• Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred.
