Job description

As the Cafe Counter Attendant you’ll be responsible for running service at the front counter of our Kitchen + Bakery in Sorrento Valley. Each day you'll present an offering of world-class baked goods along with a simple menu of farm-to-table fare that includes sandwiches, salads, and bowls. Additionally you'll make sure that all display cases are clean, stocked, and organized. The front counter gets busy in the morning and during lunch, so time will fly by pretty quickly. During the slow times you'll have ample time for cleaning and tidying.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Above all you must care a great deal about quality because that is what our customers expect from LuckyBolt.

- Greet all customers and help them with questions about our menu.

- Answer questions about every item on the menu. This will require you to have a good understanding of the different ingredients and culinary techniques that we use in the kitchen.

- Fill customers' orders at the front counter.

- Light food preparation required for portioning sauces, brewing iced tea/coffee, assembling sandwiches, wraps, salads, avocado toast, etc.

- Update the daily menu in the POS.

- Must be comfortable using a computer.

- Cash handling and maintaining the cash register.

- Keep retail items stocked in display cases and keep track of inventory.

- Maintain a neat and tidy environment at all times.

- Share the LuckyBolt mission and story with customers.

- Wash all small wares and clean equipment.

- Maintain an orderly work station.

- Ensure daily/weekly checklists are followed.
