Salary: $4,156 to $5,055 per month (SR-18, Step C to H)

Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Duties Summary

Conducts and coordinates on-site cemetery burial activities and oversees the maintenance of cemetery grounds, appurtenance and equipment; determines eligibility for burial benefits; performs clerical and other related activities for cemetery operations; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Education: Graduation from high school which included successful completion of courses that demonstrated proficiency in reading and the ability to comprehend and apply written directions and knowledge of basic arithmetic including multiplication and division.

General Experience: TWO (2) YEARS of responsible office work experience which demonstrated that the applicant possesses knowledge of general office practices and procedures, and record keeping.

Specialized Experience: THREE (3) YEARS of responsible work experience in performing funeral, memorial, interment, or comparable services (such as tending to caskets or cremated remains and floral offerings in funeral parlor, chapel, or at a cemetery for wake, funeral or burial services involving different religious rites, or customs, escorting mourners to their seats, etc.) which demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of burial or inurnment practices and procedures, familiarity with cemetery operations and grounds maintenance, and the ability to deal with individuals and groups under stressful, i.e., aggrieved, conditions.

Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
