If you are a Change Order Specialist looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting, hybrid opportunity for you! Based in our Sherman, TX location, this role will be responsible for functions related to the tracking, coordinating, and implementing of manufacturing change orders and deviations through Oracle.
As a Change Order Specialist, you will:
- Aid in problem resolution, labor cost impact estimation, and ensuring implementation of all released change orders and deviations
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure the successful completion of the production assembly process and will serve as a dedicated support for minor business-system holds and progressions of orders
- Ensure that the services provided are well organized and are in accordance with Company policy, practices and procedures, as well as clients’ needs
- Identify change orders and deviations that are being released by using the Change Order database
- Review the change order request along with the customer approval in case of price increase, part change or change in shipping address
- Be thorough in verifying cancellation confirmations and all processes related to change order requests within a deemed period
- Work with the Purchasing group to ensure product availability and to address any pricing or other issues
- Document locations and quantities of all affected product while simultaneously tracking affected product to ensure correct routing
- Lead efforts to identify any product requiring containment
- Collaborate with Production/Engineering/Purchasing/Customer Service/Representatives to ensure any components affected are identified and ensure availability of any new required material and help them to understand any changes and/or specific requirements
- Identify required labor hours to implement the documented changes
- Recognize any required marking changes, labels, etc., and communicate to Shipping/Logistics Department
- Serve as liaison for processing minor system holds and progressing orders appropriately
You establish and maintain effective customer relationships. You make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information. You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions. You encourage open dialogue to discuss alternative perspectives.
Required Education/Experience:- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Three (3) years relevant experience
- Technical and professional knowledge of procurement processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users
- Excellent problem- solving and research skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Associates Degree
- Engineering and/or manufacturing background
- Oracle experience
