Job description
The Chief CRNA assists in planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating activities of the Anesthesiology Department. Assists in the administrative responsibilities regarding quallity improvement, policies and procedures, department expenses and budgets, staffing, instruction and training of staff, educational inservices, performance appraisals and evaluations and purchasing and maintenance of state of the art equipment.Candidates must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and hold current registration by state licensing authorities as an RN in WV. Must be a graduate of an approved program of nurse anesthesia accredited by council on accreditation of nurse anethesia educational programs/schools.
Must successfully pass certification of examination required for eligibility to perform anesthetic procedures. Must renew certification every 2 years.
BS Degree and ACLS certification required.
Must have three to five years experience as a staff nurse anesthetist with previous supervisory and management experience in related clinical environment preferred.
