Job Description:
Our growing engineering department seeks dynamic, client focused, highly motivated, organized and energetic Civil Engineers to join our staff of professionals providing engineering design, analysis, permitting and construction support for clients throughout the Tri-State area.
Responsibilities to include providing technical and engineering design support to senior design engineers, developing engineering design drawings, performing drafting and/or permitting assignments and managing services provided by sub-consultants on projects.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and have strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare preliminary design, site layout, schematic design and construction drawings and documents, including specifications and cost estimates, throughout the project life cycle.
  • Prepare engineering drawings and hydraulic designs through the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and preparation of Stormwater

Management Reports and maintenance manuals. Flood hazard area delineation experience desirable, but not required.

  • Design grading, drainage, utility, roadway and improvements and supporting construction details and specifications.
  • Assemble Site Plan and permit application packages for submission to various agencies.
  • Perform Zoning Ordinance and Building Code analyses and apply the provisions of these items as they affect compliance depicted within the Construction Documents.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering, with 5 to 10 years of continuous and progressively expanding relevant design experience in Site/Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer licensed in New Jersey
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydroCad, HEC-RAS and Microsoft Office are required.
  • Experience in local, county, regional and state land use development and environmental permitting regulations.
  • Engineering experience in the wireless telecommunications industry and strong skills in structural analytical software programs, such as STAAD III, desirable but not required.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Self-disciplined and able to work independently and effectively in a group environment.
  • Clean driving record.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
