Job description
Catawba Hospital, a 110-bed Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric facility located near Roanoke, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge mountains, is seeking a full-time psychologist to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment services for adults ages 18-geriatric. We offer extensive continuing education opportunities in state-of-the-art practices in mental health care, geriatrics, forensics, and general clinical psychology; supervision for licensure or ABPP boarding, if needed; opportunities to supervise doctoral students and teach medical students and residents; and opportunities to participate creatively in program evaluation and development.

Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree from accredited university or school of psychology is required. Professional experience with at least some autonomous functioning in mental health setting with a broad program of interdisciplinary treatment is expected.
Preferred Qualifications
A Virginia license or eligibility for immediate licensure in Virginia is preferred. Experience serving persons with severe mental illness, geriatrics, cognitive impairments, forensics, intellectual disabilities, and/or behavioral programming is preferable but not required.
