Assistant Superintendent, Full-Time, Wautoma, WI

(16-month project with ongoing employment upon project completion) - Signing bonus available.

Position Responsibilities:

  • In the absence of the superintendent, plan for job equipment, material, personnel requirements and "Toolbox Talks."
  • Attend all project related meetings/events, including weekly job site meetings with all relevant subcontractors.
  • Together with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and General Superintendent to look ahead, organize and coordinate work schedules of all subcontractors onsite.
  • Understands and communicates to all field personnel the owner's goals regarding construction.
  • Maintains positive relationships with the owner and architect throughout the project(s).
  • Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and trade contractors, working with The Samuels Group safety personnel as a resource.
  • Reviews the trade contractors' safety program and MSDS information in the trade contractor start-up meeting.
  • Take-off material quantities from plans and order needed materials.
  • Documentation as required by project Superintendent.
  • Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry (commercial construction industry preferred).
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate construction documents.
  • Computer experience: project scheduling, spreadsheets, word processing, cost control, and project management software.
  • Ability to travel.

Compensation for this position is competitive and current to market. Compensable factors are thoughtfully considered per applicant.

TSG is signatory to the carpenters and laborers unions. Union participation for this position is not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
