If you can take a set of blueprints and build a commercial building from the ground up, understanding every aspect of the construction, then you should apply to this position. We need the FULL PACKAGE. Somebody who is analytical and can study plans and specifications to handle full ground up construction, coordinating all the trades and capable of giving attention to all of the required minor details.

1) Must have many years experience in construction as a project manager building commercial buildings. Public work is a plus. You should be capable of handling every detail required to coordinate all of the work required to complete the entire project.

2) You must be organized and capable of using computers to organize and plan your work.

3) A degree in engineering or architecture is a huge plus but not required

4) You must have a good attitude, be a laid back individual, but very driven to succeed and learn. You must take direction well. We want you to lead, but we want you to build the buildings the WAY WE WANT THEM BUILT. So you must harness everything you know to build our way and work our way. If you can do that you can be a part of a very large growing company.

5) Experience in masonry, using lasers for elevations, form building and checking form elevations and dimensions, foundation layout and construction, carpentry layout, coordinating all of the different trades, managing submittals and shop drawings and incorporating them into the construction to ensure the accurate items are accounted for, bathroom layout and preparation for sheetrock, blocking installation, etc.

6) You have to be able to see ahead, to understand all of the components of the building and how they all fit together. How to layout a wall early in the project knowing that an aluminum storefront will need to go into that wall later. Making sure you know how to pull the correct shop drawing and read it so the wall gets laid out properly the way its supposed to.

7) You need to be a commercial construction machine, an expert, capable of doing everything it takes to make sure every aspect of the building is built properly. Any lay out required to coordinate the different parts should be easy for you. You must have experience doing this before.

8) You will be mostly field based, you must have experience with doing takeoffs from plans, managing vendors and suppliers, assisting with bidding in between jobs, creating comprehensive takeoffs of projects and working to solicit pricing. During projects you must assist with submittals, buying out the project, negotiating with vendors, doing material quantity estimates for the material needed for the job, ordering material in advance and knowing how to manage our vendor list to purchase what is needed on the job on the fly. You will be involved in all lifecycles of the business from bidding, Project management, turnover, and everything else that goes along with it.

You must not be above anything, we want someone ready to dedicate themselves 100% to the company to help utilize all of their knowledge and experience to help the company grow. You will be rewarded with very competitive pay.

9) Must be trustworthy and honest and above all loyal. Must have multiple character references as well as at least two references from prior employers detailing your experience.

Pay is negotiable but will be handsome if you are the real deal, and there will be ample room for growth. The company is growing very rapidly and you will be a part of that growth. We need somebody to start immediately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
